On Sunday 24th September, Channels Estate in Little Waltham near Chelmsford will be hosting a much-awaited Wedding Venue Open Day.
With free entry and a complimentary glass of bubbly, this is the perfect opportunity for brides to be to have a guided tour of the country estate that arguably plays host to the most weddings in Essex.
Brides to be will have the chance to view two distinct wedding locations on the 300 acre estate while meeting a team of wedding co-ordinators and wedding suppliers who will help them picture first-hand how their special day could unfold.
Channels Estate is one of the county’s most popular wedding locations hosting more than an incredible 150 weddings each year and is run by the Stubbings family who have owned the land since 1929.
In recent years, the family have lovingly renovated a 17th century Essex Barn which sits in the heart of the estate to cater for wedding parties and have created, within the bucolic grounds, a garden chapel complete with church pews for wedding ceremonies.
In the last two months Little Channels – which sits on the edge of the estate, has been the subject of further renovation works and includes The Courtyard Suite with its unique formation of interconnecting barns and beautiful flagstone central courtyard for more intimate and affordable weddings.
Both are complemented by Channels Lodge – a 15th century boutique hotel for which the Stubbings family have garnered a four star ‘Gold Award’ for accommodation.
With a firm eye on the wedding business, the family have created not one but two charming honeymoon suites which can also be viewed at the open day.
