Harlow residents are being encouraged to line the streets and celebrate Harlow is 70 when the carnival comes to town on Sunday 23 July 2017.
The carnival, organised by Harlow Council, will be a celebration of the town through the years as part of Harlow’s year-long 70th birthday celebrations.
The procession will leave the Stow at around 12noon, travelling down Howard Way then along First Avenue and into the Town Park in time for the Linkfest Music Festival. The parade, which will be led by the Chair of the Council, Councillor Sue Livings, will include decorated floats, other vehicles and walking groups.
For the safety of those involved and watching some roads around the procession route will be temporarily closed on the day. The road closures are scheduled at different times between 10am and 1.30pm.
