Harlow man fined after dumping rubbish in housing estate

A Harlow man has been fined after dumping rubbish in a local housing estate!

The man prosecuted for dumping rubbish faces paying a bill of more than £400, after successful action taken by Harlow Council.

The case, which was heard at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on 5 April 2018, relates to an offence committed by Franklin Agyemang in October 2017.

Mr Agyemang, of Bishopsfield, was found to be in breach of Section 87 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 following a report of dumped rubbish.

A Harlow Council Clean Neighbourhood Enforcement Officer visited the Bishopsfield area – one of Harlow’s hot spot areas in relation to dumped rubbish – on 20 October 2017, having received the report the day before, and upon inspection found 8 bags of household waste dumped.
